ANJOU

Born in the frozen tundra of Skelvørn, Anjou was raised in a land where only the strong survived. The howling winds and endless snow shaped her into a warrior before she ever held a blade. She was the daughter of a hunter, trained to track beasts through blizzards and fight with a small blade customized for a child. But survival was not enough. Anjou yearned for mastery of her abilities. At sixteen, she left the tundra behind, traveling north to the great city of Larianta, where she sought training in the art of sword fighting with the famed Castille family.

There she proved herself through sheer grit and skill, sparring daily for over half a decade with Aldrich and his sister Kleana, honing her skills to the point of renowned expertise. Her time in Larianta was one of the most joyous of her life, filled with new family and acquaintances, but the icy blood that flows through her veins eventually led her to the foothills of the Grange Mountains. She took up residence as a guest in the ancient Eadore Monastery on Mount Haliard, where she learned to capture and harness the power of the frozen elements around her.

There, an acclaimed monk by the name of Oljuer forged the Winter Sword specifically to combine Anjou’s talents in sword fighting and mastery of the elements. The one-of-a-kind blade makes no sound whatsoever as Anjou slashes it through the cold air and never shows a sign of scratch or sullying.

Anjou has spent years honing a unique mental power that can push attacking beasts back in their tracks. She also developed a unique spell to constantly replenish her pockets with un-melting Ice Dust, a powerful substance that can be flung at opposing attackers.

Now Anjou roams the frozen peaks, defending mountain dwellers against raiders, monstrous beasts, and those who seek to exploit the ancient magic of the peaks. She has forsaken the comforts of civilization, embracing the solitude of the mountains where she is strongest. When Anjou swings the Winter Sword, the blizzards themselves answer her call.
