Dark Tomb - Dendrak Portrait

DENDRAK

High atop the frigid peaks of the Grange Mountains, where the air is thin and the storms rage without mercy, dwells a beast of ancient dread. The Dendrak knows every inch of the ice-covered rocky terrain and bounds effortlessly up and down the frozen cliffs, the majority of which are not even traversable by beings fitted with ropes and axes.

Its beady red eyes project unfiltered evil and its sole goal is to rid the mountain of anything that does not belong there. It extends its welcome to explorers by charging at them without warning and butting them full-speed with its iron-heavy horns.

The Dendrak moves with eerie silence despite its hulking frame. It stalks the ridges and valleys, preying upon any who dare trespass into its frozen domain. Travelers tell of the deep, echoing bellows that reverberate through the cliffs, a mournful sound that heralds an oncoming storm—and the beast itself. Those who hear it know they have already been marked. The Dendrak’s antlers are said to contain an ancient, icy magic. It is not merely a beast of brute strength, but an entity bound to the land, a force of nature as cruel and unyielding as winter itself.
